Bobby Jindal Reflects Upon His Disastrous State of the Union Response (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Nov 17th 2010 4:42PM
Bobby Jindal was the next big thing in the Republican party -- the GOP's answer to Barack Obama -- until his universally panned response to Obama's State of the Union address in February 2009 dimmed the Louisiana governor's star.

To add insult to injury, many likened the goofy, boyish enthusiasm that Jindal projected during his national debut to the Kenneth the Page character on '30 Rock.'

During Jindal's appearance on 'Parker Spitzer' (weekdays 8PM ET on CNN), he talked about his disastrous speech.

"You're going to replay this, this is awful," Jindal said good-naturedly, after Parker told him she was going to play a clip from the response.

"Let me take responsibility -- it's so easy to blame others, blame consultants, blame advisers -- I delivered the speech, it's my fault, clearly it was awful," he stated.

Jindal also told Parker he has ruled out a 2012 run for president. He did leave the door open for 2016 when, presumably, Kenneth the Page will have a less prominent place in our national consciousness.
