Lewis Black on Airport Security, Groin Searches, 'Touching His Junk' (VIDEO)

We've all heard about the 'Don't Touch My Junk' guy, John Tyner, who's become a national hero of sorts. He fought back against excessive airport security -- and people praised him for resisting the government's intrusion into his privacy. But is airport security really so bad? On 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), Lewis Black offers his own unique spin on the issue. His conclusion might surprise you. It turns out that Lewis is in favor of "groin patting."
Mr. Black says our priorities are skewed. We'll do big things to support the War on Terror, but not really small ones: "We're willing to start wars, waterboard people, and kill civilians with unmanned drones." But for some reason, Americans draw the line at being touched by agents in an airport. Apparently, the one line we're not willing to cross is "our waistline[s]."
It's an interesting point. You could argue that this is a selfish impulse -- wars and bombing affect people in other countries, whereas groin pat-downs affect people right here. Or maybe Americans are against intrusive airport security because it costs a ton of money and hasn't stopped a single terrorist. It's hard to say.
Though the issue is complicated, Lewis Black comes to a decisive conclusion. He argues in favor of TSA searches. "I get to go from New York to San Diego in five hours, and someone touches my balls?" he says. "That's a great deal!" See, if you look at things from the right angle, you can always find the positive side.
