Russell Crowe Has an Idea -- Add Naked Women to Everything! (VIDEO)

Russell Crowe Has an Idea -- Add Naked Women to Everything!Craig Ferguson is a weird guy. And like so many weird guys from the United Kingdom, he's a big fan of the insanely complicated sci-fi series 'Doctor Who.' (If you're saying 'Doctor Who?" to yourself right now, that's because the show has never become as popular here as it is in the U.K. Here's a brief guide to the show should you need it.)

But Russell Crowe is from Australia, which is like a tougher version of the U.K., so it stands to reason that he doesn't share Craig's geeky sci-fi enthusiasm. On 'Late Late Show' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), Russell makes a simple recommendation: Add naked women to get him interested in stuff!

"There was never enough naked women in 'Doctor Who,'" he says to the host, and this leads to a spirited, but entirely surreal, conversation. Ferguson agrees that naked women are cool. But he thinks they can't be added willy-nilly to things, just because you feel like it. "I mean, you can't say, 'Oh, I don't really like ... sandwiches, there's no naked women in them.'" The host then continues: "You can't have [naked women] in everything!" Mr. Crowe disagrees. "I don't see why not," he calmly replies.

Craig is stymied by this logic. So he distracts Crowe with the one thing the actor likes nearly as much as nude women. What is that thing? Why two guys dressed up as a pantomime horse, of course! Then, the host and actor dance with the horse.*

(*Note: None of this makes that much sense. Just go with it.)

While "Doctor Who" isn't quite as popular here in the US as it is in the UK, it still has a large, loyal and growing fandom.

There's no need to dog the show.
