The Show Girl's Got Scoop on 'Top Chef All Stars,' 'The Fran Drescher Tawk Show' & 'Glory Daze' (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 19th 2010 10:00AM

I seriously cannot wait for 'Top Chef All Stars.' Seeing cheftestants from seasons past, going head-to-head to prove they deserved to win is my idea of good TV. Add new judge Anthony Bourdain to that equation and I'm practically giddy. I caught up with Tony and head judge Tom Colicchio to find out who's changed the most, and who they'd want to hang out with outside of the show.

Plus, fans of 'The Nanny' can stop watching their box sets on a loop -- Fran Drescher is back on TV with a new daytime talk show. Excuse me, tawk show. So who's her dream guest? Well let's just say she's aiming pretty high ...

I also get totally '80s with the stars of 'Glory Daze.' What's their stance on the bright clothes and crazy hairstyles? And what would their characters' '80s theme songs be? Yep, making people sing on the spot is never not entertaining.

Got questions? E-mail me TV questions at TheTVShowGirl@aol.com and I'll try to get you answers on the show. -- By Maggie Furlong

Where's Dave????
We want Dave! We want Dave! We want Dave! WE WANT DAVE! (I can't believe I did that.)
Anyway, Dave was one of the few who provided real comic relief, as opposed to the pompous asses who think, because they are able to create a foam, or use some esoteric ingredient like Sea Serpent spit, or some such, they are, Oh,so devine!
We have Tony Bourdain to fill that role now. No one can be more Pompous than our Tony. Bourdain is an uber liberal who believes in open (No)borders for this country and he employed many illegals in his restaurant. Of course, few of his employees,if any, could ever afford to eat there,IF it were even possible for one of them to get a rez! He was (is)a mediocre cook at best, but as the old saying goes,"Those that can do,Those that can't teach."(Or they write books or they get a job on an established cooking contest show.)Bourdain is still way overrated, mostly by Bourdain!)
This guy actually had the nerve to get behind the grill with Eric Ripert of Le Bernidin as though he were an equal, what a farce! Our "Antnee" can be hilarious at times, but he did at least, prove that he could be a competent Sous Chef.
I would, some day, really like to see Hell's Kitchen denizen, Gordon Ramsey, appear as a guest judge; unfortunately, contracts collide.
It would be funny to see Tommy THE C,tell Tony"Jaws", to pack his knives and leave!
I hope Tony makes enough on this show to visit a good Orthodontist. Yuk.

I would much rather see someone who has a personality, Adam Richman,of Man Vs. Food for example, be a judge.
Watch for any byplay between Tony and Padma! Rumor has it.......................!!!

Bring back Dave!!!! And let's see "MORE" of Padma.

Gosh, I can't wait to hear what Bourdain unleashes upon the contestants. He cracks me up. I feel like he's the Charles Barkley of the food world to me.

The Fran Dreschier Tawk Show? Sounds like the perfect
title of a solo talk show for Barbra Walters, since
the TMZ narrator, amoung other people pronounce her
name like Elmer Fudd alot. The Fwan Dweschier Tawk
Show. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

I'm Tivoing a full season of Glory Daze right now,
and I hope this show is what Saved By The Bell has
been to TBS since that comedy has aired on TBS in
syndicated reruns from the mid '90's. I love the 80's!

Some feedback: the fast cuts aren't fashionable or hip or working anymore. Cut it out. Also, you advertise who Tom and Tony would want to hang out with and yet, it's not addressed. It's not what made me watch the piece but it's usually wise to deliver what you tease.

Oh it's there - you have to watch until the very end. I always deliver on teases! And we're not trying to be hip or fashionable, just to get a good show out each week, but, um, thanks for the editing notes.
