Jessica Simpson Shows Off Her Engagement Ring on 'The Early Show' (VIDEO)

On 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM ET on CBS), Jessica Simpson proudly shows off the engagement ring presented to her by former NFL player Eric Johnson.

Simpson wows Harry Smith with a 100-year-old Tiffany ring that features a large ruby gemstone instead of a traditional diamond. Simpson said the unique ring was all Johnson's idea.

"I've already done the traditional thing. So, I just wanted to do something that was different. It was all Eric's idea and he just wanted it to be special," she said.

Simpson said she was so surprised by Johnson's proposal that she neglected to try the ring on right away. "I didn't even try the ring on until, like, five minutes in. I was so shocked," she said. "I just kind of sat there and cried with him for a bit."

Why? Why? Why? is she STILL in the news??? She does NOTHING! Also,
has she EVER had a BF that she WOULDN'T have said yes to had he popped
the question? So she's never dated a guy with whom she has differing
political, social, moral or ethical views????? She'll turn herself
into anyone the guy wants as long as he stays with her? She is a total
embarrassment to womankind.

If a rich man were marrying someone not as wealthy, nobody would think anything of it. The Jessica Simpsons, Oprah Winfreys, Kourtney Kardashians, etc. NEVER can marry who they love if they worry about finding someone that has to be equally successful. Since when is it wrong for people to marrying beneath their wealth factor? I FOR ONE AM BELIEVING HE LOVES HER, AND THEY WILL LIVE A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE TOGETHER.
