What to Watch: November 22 - 28

Skating with the Stars - Monday November 22, 9PM ET/PT, CTV/ABC

No, it's not a typo. It's 'Skating with the Stars,' not 'Battle of the Blades' or 'Dancing with the Stars' or the long-canceled 'Skating with Celebrities.' ABC's latest foray into mismatched-pairs-competitive-reality-show launches tonight, just as that other dancing show is undergoing its final performance.

Also This Week:

House - Monday November 22, 8PM ET/PT, Global/Fox

A 33-year old carpenter winds up in House's care after trying to re-create the Crucifixion, giving Hugh Laurie all kinds of opportunity to chew the scenery. Meanwhile Wilson's relationship with Sam (Cynthia Watros, 'Lost') takes a sudden turn after they go a wedding.

Shatner's Raw Nerve - Sunday November 28, 9PM ET/PT, Biography

I'm loathe to give this man any more attention -- and really, does he need me to? It's hard to find a channel that doesn't feature him in one of its shows. But the prospect of William Shatner interviewing Jenna Jameson was just too good to go unmentioned. The Queen of Porn and the King of Personal Injury Law Firm Commercials have a frank discussion about business, family and of course, porn.

Best. Trip. Ever. - Saturday November 27, 7PM ET/8 p.m. PT, Discovery

Olympic skeleton champion Jon Montgomery and three of his insanely fit, super-sporty friends go on a road trip and try every crazy sport that comes their way -- but I'm not sure if this is a genuine attempt at a series or an ad for a Toyota 4Runner. Listen to these direct quotes from the press release: "As they drive across British Columbia in a 2010 Toyota 4Runner – a winning combination of off-road capability and on-road driving comfort – engaging in a little friendly competition" and "With just six days, an extreme sports "bucket list" and a game-for-anything attitude, the foursome revs up their 2010 Toyota 4Runner and starts their BEST. TRIP. EVER." I mean, I know companies can buy product placements in shows, but since when can they buy space in a press release? My inbox feels violated.
