Oprah's Favorite Things: The Full List of Things She Didn't Give You
Remember back in 2009 when Oprah Winfrey didn't have her usual 'Favorite Things' episode? Because of the bad economy at the time, Oprah decided that it would have been a little over-the-top to give away expensive gifts. (Though, wouldn't you think that a bad economy is the best time to do a show like this? Maybe invite some people in need and make it the best Christmas ever?)
She did have a 'Favorite Things' episode in 2008, but gave the audience free recipes and downloadable Christmas songs. If you saw that episode you probably cringed a bit.
So either the economy must be better or Oprah has changed her mind. She had a 'Favorite Things' show -- actually two shows -- this year. And since it's her final season, you knew that the gifts were going to be special.
This year's show was so big that Oprah actually had paramedics standing by in case audience members felt light-headed, had a heart attack or started punching the person next to them because they were so excited.
Here's a list of the items that Oprah gave away to her surprised audience.

A 7-day cruise, including airfare (who knows)
Grand total: around $18,000, and that's not including the car and the cruise, because those exact prices are unknown. But it's safe to say that every person in Oprah's audience walked away with well over $40,000 worth of stuff.
This was (according to her) Oprah's personal list of her most favorite things of all-time, sort of a greatest hits of favorite things over the years (the Centerville mac & cheese, the UGG boots), with many new things on the list too (the car). Judging from the way the audience reacted, I think they enjoyed themselves.
Though it's funny that Oprah gave away yet another car, considering the controversy that erupted the last time she did that.

| Duh, the car and the cruise! | |
| It's terrible for Oprah to do this when so many people are hurting |
