Sarah Palin Says No to Another TV Interview With Katie Couric

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 23rd 2010 9:00AM

Now that she's raised the possibility of a presidential run in 2012, Sarah Palin's been looking back on her previous run in 2008 and that TV interview with Katie Couric.

Asked by Sean Hannity on his Fox show Monday night whether she would sit down for a second interview with the CBS News anchor, Palin said no way. "As for doing an interview ... with a reporter who already has such a bias against whatever it is that I would come out and say? Why waste my time? No."

She did say, however, that she'd grant interviews to some journalists:"I will speak to reporters who still understand that cornerstone of our democracy, that expectation that the public has for truth to be reported. And then we get to decide our own opinion based on the facts reported to us."

But is the former Governor eyeing another career change perhaps? Saying that she wated to "help clean up the state that is so sorry today of journalism," Palin mentioned that she has "a communications degree. I studied journalism, who, what, where, when, and why of reporting."

Palin's controversial 2008 interview with Katie Couric became a viral hit online, as was the 'Saturday Night Live' spoof version with Tina Fey playing Palin.

So sorry you are a bit too late...Sarah Palin HAS been on O'Reilly quite a few times...she IS a Fox contributor, or I guess you were not aware of that...
Too bad!

I am thrilled Couric is not getting the interview...after all of the stupid questions she was asked in 2008...Couric is a "has been that never was" move on Couric and stop trying to get "one up" once again! Go after another person...
I am vey happy Sarah refused!

Really Sarah!!. Asking what magazines and newspapers you read is biased. What are you going to do during the primaries, demand that Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity ask the questions.

If you find Sarah Palin to be a dumb azz, you must surely find Borat O'Bama to be an incompetent, inexperienced, babbling( without his telepromter) idiot. Good for you!

wow actually Obama did go on fox non-news show and talked with Bill O the clown, he also spoke with Chris Wallace, Katie asked her one question, she wasn't able to answer. It was a simple question She seems to be a down home person but she not a option for the president of the USA. If you run for president you can't pick and chose who you will talk with. If she can't stand up and speak what she believes and her ideas to make this country better, weather we as american agree with her or not, she shouldn't run for president. She did quit her gov's job. She had 2 yrs left, I am sure the gov's job was stressful, but if she can't handle that, how would she handle the president's job. You just can't walk away and quit when everybody does not agree you, like what you wear, how many vacations you take, what your kid wears, how you behave in public. I watched her show the 1st time and I must say she can't control her own house, her kids are rude and disrespectful.

"You Betcha" is hardly a serious candidate. How in the world does this teabagger/Republican think that she is going to escape the hard interviewing of any serious journalists when she runs for President? I saw the interview with Katie and, yes, the interview was excruciating for "You Betcha," because "You Betcha" lacks intelligence and she couldn't absorb then and she can't absorb now any of the problems that is tearing this country apart to be able to give intelligent, legitimate and honest answers (even with writing on her hands). Last week, "You Betcha" made the asinine statement that "North Korea was the USA's ally. In my opinion, if she refuses to be interviewed by the real journalist (excluding Beck, Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly and the like), she can't run for office. This isn't Alaska, where she ran for Governor. If she can't hang with the big dogs, she needs to sit her puppy-A$$ on the front porch. The woman is pathetic.

Palin would do well to avoid Bill O'Reilly, too. Unlike Hannity and Beck, O'Reilly considers himself to be a serious news reporter, and on occasion he acts like one. For example, a couple of nights ago I saw him interviewing former President G.W. Bush. He asked the President a few genuine questions. Soft questions, perhaps, but serious questions that deserved serious answers. Mr. Bush panicked and was unable to answer them. If George W. Bush, who always tried his best (his detractors would say that his best was not very good) to do what he thought was right could not stand up to a friendly O'Reilly, how would Palin, who walked away from the only responsible job she ever held, be able to answer Bill?

Of course she says no! Katie may may her look like an fool again by asking tough questions like; What newspapers do you read?, Can you read at all?, Can you point to N. or S. Korea on a map?, or What is 2 + 2?. And Katie would never agree to a SCRIPTED interview like they do of Fox. I hope Sarah realizes that she is the laughing stock of the nation... A regular village idiot... She should crawl back under her rock in Alaska and for gods sake don't answer the phone anymore.
