Dwayne Johnson Declined to Endorse 'The Shake Weight,' But Admits There's Something 'Inappropriately Interesting About the Motion'"The Rock" is like a rock when it comes to turning down endorsements. Dwayne Johnson can't be moved. He's already rejected a deal with Dunkin' Doughnuts -- they offered a ton of money just to name a doughnut after him. Johnson refused, even though he likes doughnuts. (That's impressive. We'd do it for free, just because it would be so cool to have your name on a doughnut.)

Obviously, to convince the Rock to shill for your product, you need to make a really compelling case. On 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), Jay Leno asked if anyone had made him a better offer.

Dwayne did mention one new endorsement opportunity. ... Apparently, the Shake Weight® company came knocking at the Rock's door. But he wasn't interested -- and he had a very solid reason for turning them down.

The Rock then demonstrated why he said "No" to the deal. He picked up one of the weights and started exercising with it. Oddly enough, working out with a Shake Weight® involves an weird repetitive jerking gesture. And since the weight itself is a long, shaft-like object, the overall effect is -- well, we'll let Mr. Johnson say it: "There's something inappropriately interesting about the motion." " ... And it's by your face," he added.

Jay and Dwayne continued to crack jokes, as they jerked the big rod up and down ... and back and forth. Honestly, we have no idea what they were making fun of. We will say this, though. It's a sad day indeed when a man named "Johnson" can't become the spokesman for the Shake Weight®.
