On Black Friday 2010, Don't Leave Your TV -- Go Home Shopping Instead

by Jane Murphy, posted Nov 25th 2010 4:00PM
Your TV is talking to you. It's begging you not to leave home and hearth to get trampled by bargain hunting Black Friday shoppers.

No doubt you'll be sapped from all that stuffing, so just remember: A holiday home shopping spree for you and yours is just one push of a remote-control button away.

HSN has a deep bench of celebrities ready to share their style with you. Tori Spelling will tout holiday ornaments from her collection, and Molly Sims will show off her earthy jewelry, "Grayce."

Meanwhile, QVC features designer/actor/reality show star Isaac Mizrahi among their headliners. Mizrahi will actually be making a Thanksgiving Day appearance on NBC's 'The Apprentice.' Let's see which other celebrities are playing Santa this year.

Invite Mariah Carey and Iman in for holiday cheer. Supermodel Iman – still breathtaking at 55 – has enjoyed great success with her "Global Chic" line of apparel. Meanwhile, Miss Mariah features jewelry, shoes and fragrance in her HSN collection. The jewelry has lots of bling appeal – and so do the shoes! HSN's promotes their designing women below.

QVC queen Joan Rivers is already in the holiday spirit. Read her QVC blog about preparing for an appearance on a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade float with daughter Melissa. Celebrating her second decade with HSN, Joan's jewelry and apparel will be available on Black Friday and throughout the holidays.

Last year, Joan recorded a series of Scrooge-y skits for her QVC fans. You can still view them on the QVC site. Here is piece of work Joan with ... "Bob Humbug"?

On Black Friday, find out what ShopNBC hosts would wrap up for their friends and family when Holiday Host Picks airs for a full six hours, from 4-10PM/ET. Hey, couldn't you just see faux-NBC honcho Jack Donaghy saying: Why limit Black Friday to just Friday? Indeed. At ShopNBC, Black Friday is just the start of a long weekend, as the network's early Yuletide specials culminate in their "Cyber Monday" promotion.
