'American Dad' -- Rich Brother, Poor Brother (VIDEO)

A familiar Thanksgiving tradition -- once everyone is seated at the dinner table -- is hearing relatives yak about how absolutely great their lives are. But if your life is going badly (or if you're just polite and non-arrogant), another tradition is being stuck listening to people yapping about how awesome their lives are. Tonight's 'American Dad' (Sun., 9:30PM ET on Fox) took on both of these rich holiday traditions.Every year, Stan Smith invites his half-brother Rusty (voiced by Lou Diamond Phillips) to his house in Langley Falls, Virginia. There, the Smith family lords it over their "poor" relative. For example, wife Francine takes the opportunity to brag about how her kitchen stove has four -- count 'em, four -- burners on it. Truly impressive.
But when Stan's son Steve gets overly rude about the "showing off in front of the impoverished relative" thing, Mr. Smith decides to teach his kid a holiday "lesson." ... But it's a lesson that backfires horribly.
Stan takes his family to Rusty's home in Arizona, to show Steve what "real" poverty is like. Which is when Stan learns that he was wrong about everything. Rusty's supposed tiny "house" is actually just part of his sewage system ... for his many fountains and swimming pools. His real house is a fantastic mansion built into the side of a mountain. And it gets worse for Stan from there. ... Rusty has a Lamborghini lawnmower. His amazing bar is stocked with everything, including "Absolut Everything" brand vodka, which sadly doesn't exist in real life. And Rusty's kid plays video games in a holodeck, much to Steve's annoyance.
So how will Stan deal with suddenly learning that he's the real "poor brother"? Will he handle it well? Or poorly? ... We're guessing poorly.
