'The Amazing Race': A Team Decides to Quit During a Contest (VIDEO)

I don't know why she stays with him. I know she loves him tremendously, but any future marriage (if they do that) is just going to wind up in a divorce. She needs to be smart about her relationship with this guy.

I watch the Amazing race with pleasure and travel with the contestants in my imagination. Such nice sceneries. The rockers as this team is being called are a poor sample. This poor girl has already being beat into submission by the male counter part and if she does not get away from him she is facing a hell of a life. Nick has absolutely no confidence in himself that is why he is brow beating Vickey. Just observe that he puts Vickey up to do the challenges so he can blame her for the losses. Yet if she does the chalenge there is no praise. That guy needs mental help.

With a 6 hour penalty it seems doubtful that they will make it past the next leg of the race. He is an abuser and she is the typical abused female, stays and takes it because she doesn't think she can be without him. Race or no race, she should have kicked his sorry butt overboard and notified the crew that she was done and wanted to go home.

why didnt Phil tell this jerk off when they arrived? He must have heard what was going on. Why didnt this guy do the chore himself? I think he was disappointed that Phil didnt eliminate them. What a woos!!!!!

I'm so glad to see all the comments about how nice Vicki is and what a jerk Nick is. This guy needs to take a gratitude pill and also to GROW UP. She is a very attractive young woman with a positive and mature attitude - I hope for her sake she DUMPS this loser dude. I also hope as he watches his antics and lousy attitude being aired for all of America to see, that he learns A LOT about himself and where he needs to get to, to be a decent human being. Decidedly unlikeable person!!!

I thought I was the only one that noticed that they didn't have an extra part of the race to complete since they finished last on a non-elimination leg.
The father and son team had to complete one and they
should have had to as well. Maybe they are related
to someone on the Amazing Race Payroll!!! If they
don't get an extra penalty phase to complete than
the other 3 teams should be getting a BIG BONUS PRIZE before the next leg starts!

I object to the headline on this clip. The "team" didn't decide to quit, only loser Nick did that. I really admire Vicki for her refusal to give up when everything, mostly Nick, is going wrong. Just another example of a woman picking the wrong "man" because she's too afraid to be alone, she hopes he'll change, or she doesn't feel she deserves any better...or all of the above. I hope she finds the strength to dump this loser and stand on her own two feet until or unless she meets someone who is worthy of her.

Nick is a loser and a quitter. Rather than being happy for the opportunity to see places he could NEVER get to see on his own, all he does is whine whine whine. However, I'm happy it was a non-elimination round because now he has to "suffer" some more and just maybe his bad attitude will finally convince Vicki to dump this jerk!

Are those 2 related to the shows producers? Last time they finished last it was a non elimination round yet they didn't have to do anything for a penalty. This time they completely quit and conveniently it's another non elimination round and they still get a chance to move on. Just watch next week...they'll serve their 6 hour penalty and meet up with everyone else at the airport and be on the same flight as the other 3 teams. I've been watching this show since it started but if these 2 make it to the final 3 it'll be the last time I tune in. This smells of a fix!

Why in the heck does this stupid show ALWAYS have to run over and cause the following show to end before it is finished. When the following show is recorded the whole thing is never able to be seen because of this idiot show running over.
