Comedian Judah Friedlander helped Jon Stewart differentiate between American karate and the Japanese original when he appeared on 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM) to promote his satirical karate guide 'How to Beat Up Anybody.'When Stewart pronounced the martial art as "ka-ra-TAY", the '30 Rock' actor countered, "This is America. It's KU-ra-dy." Stewart played along, saying, "I meant no disrespect ... I know that [karate is] about controlling physicality and emotion, and I don't want to get you riled up."
Friedlander replied, "Actually, it's about beating people up." The "World Champion of the World" then explained how he "learned" his karate skills -- in a Chinese prison at the tender age of 12.
