Magic Johnson: Joining with AEG to Bring NFL to L.A. (VIDEO)
Magic Johnson recently sold his 4.5 percent stake in the Los Angeles Lakers for an estimated $27 million, as well as over 100 Starbucks franchises for a reported $75 million. What's he going to do with all that cash? Bring the NFL to Los Angeles, he said on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), confirming earlier reports."I'm announcing this today: I've teamed up with Tim Leiweke at AEG, and we're gonna come together to bring the NFL back to Los Angeles," Johnson said.
Jimmy Kimmel replied, "I think the NFL likes to keep Los Angeles vacant because then they can play blackmail with the other teams and tell them, 'Oh, if you don't give us a stadium we're going to move the team to L.A.'"
