Watch Glenn Close, Jason Alexander, Ricki Lake and Other Random Famous People Lip Sync 'Let It Be'

Glenn CloseThe Norwegian TV station TV2 must have a GIGANTIC promotional budget, because there's no other explanation for how they managed to gather so many random famous people to lip sync a cover of The Beatles' 'Let It Be' to promote their 'Golden Times' program.

We're not actually sure what 'Golden Times' is, but somehow such luminaries as Glenn Close, Jason Alexander, Ricki Lake, Dolph Lundgren, Tonya Harding, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Roger Moore, Huey Lewis, George Wendt, Steve Guttenberg, one half of Milli Vanilli and SO MANY MORE PEOPLE got paid to shill for it. They even tracked down the little boy who played a young Forrest Gump.

No words can really do this justice, so please just watch the entire 6 minutes after the jump.

Tell us: WTF?!

It is a Norwegian show (Gylne tider) that interviews celebs from the 70s, 80s & 90s. All of the celebs knew what they're doing. The interviews are arranged way in advance and are done one at a time. Everything is arranged through the actors managers. The singing part was shot in front of a "green screen" after the interview. It is supposed to be fun, that's what the show is about.

I love the concept, I just wish they had not auto tuned everyone's voice so much. I have heard a perfect version of Let it Be; by the Beatles. I would have loved to hear each artist's take on the lyrics. What made "We are the World" such a beautiful song was the different contribution each artist brought to the song.

I forgot to mention that Golden Times is what they are calling the upcoming season.

Promos like this also take place here in Germany. TV2 is advertising the shows, movies and events which will air in the upcoming TV season. Part of the agreements which are made when licensing media includes making sure as well as using stars and celebrities for promotional purposes.

Not Forrest Gump's son, that was Haley Joel Osment. The kid who played Forrest Gump as a child, that's who is in this.

Odd to see Peter Falk included --- since Huffington Post says he slipped into dementia in 2007.
