Cheech Marin Lands Fox Sitcom Role, NBC Developing Comedy Based on Esquire Column and More

Cheech Marin is returning to series TV with a role in Fox's pilot 'Outnumbered.' The sitcom follows a couple, Sue (Ana Ortiz) and Pete (Cliff Chamberlain), who are overwhelmed by their three children on a regular basis. According to Deadline Hollywood, Marin has been tapped to play Sue's father.
Look for his character to be on a variety of pills and believe the kids deserve a good hit every once in a while.

• NBC has ordered a script based on the Esquire magazine feature 'Ten Things You Don't Know About Women.' Betsy Thomas of 'My Boys' is writing the script and will executive produce. The project will feature three sisters at different stages of relationships: One is married, one is divorced and one is single. [Variety]
• Comedy Central is getting into business with comedian Matt Braunger. The project follows Braunger, a 'MadTV' alumnus, as a closed-captioner by day who gets into absurd situations with his friend at night. [Deadline Hollywood]
