Amy Adams Discusses Meeting the Woman She Plays in 'The Fighter' (VIDEO)

Amy Adams plays Charlene Fleming, the love interest of Boston boxer Mickey Ward, in the new film 'The Fighter,' which opens Friday. The movie is a biopic, and there's a real life Charlene Fleming, who Adams talked about meeting today on 'Live with Regis and Kelly' (Weekdays, Syndicated). Adams met Fleming for the first time at the premiere for 'The Fighter,' and says she had to track her down to speak with her. "She's not someone who will step into the spotlight," said Adams.
The main concern Fleming addressed to Adams was related to her modesty, which the film apparently does not preserve. "She was very concerned about the lack of clothes that my character wears," said Adams. "She claimed she never wore that few clothes. She's a woman of few words, but she's awesome."
Stressing about the lack of clothes your likeness is wearing in a biopic is certainly an understandable concern. Unless of course, the person playing you in the film happens to be Amy Adams. In that case, we'd probably be okay with it.
