'Dexter's' Michael C. Hall Sings a Very Creepy Christmas Carol (VIDEO)

'Dexter's' Michael C. Hall Sings a Very Creepy Christmas Carol"I'm scared right now," Jimmy Fallon said. Yeah, well -- this was to be expected. Michael C. Hall is best known for playing a serial killer on 'Dexter.' So inviting him onto your show, then having him sing a Christmas carol ... can have a certain creepy effect on some people.

On 'Late Night' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC), Michael performed his version of the classic tune 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town' -- but he modified the lyrics somewhat. Not that it mattered very much. Hearing the original lines "You better watch out/ You better not cry" is already pretty unsettling, when they're delivered in Mr. Hall's unique ... idiom.

Still, by the time that Michael sang "Santa Claus will kill you/ If you're bad," Jimmy Fallon was starting to look mildly terrified, in a humorous kind of way.

Plus, one of the 'Late Night' audience members felt like it was okay to yell at Michael while was he was singing. When he uttered the words "You better not pout/ I'm telling you why," a crowd member shouted back "... Why?!" Dude, no! DO NOT TAUNT MR. HALL WHILE HE'S PERFORMING. ... The guy looks stressed-out enough already. At any rate, Mike's song put us in the perfect mood for the holiday season. Now, if you'll excuse us -- we're going to go lock all our doors, then barricade the chimney by nailing some wooden boards over the fireplace.

LOVE Dexter and Michael C Hall. I don't like serial killers, but love the fact that he is a warped vigilante that takes out the bad guys.
