I am surprised Obama wasn't on the show to have a "Teachable moment" and explain how solar death rays work to the Myth Busters. He is after all, the smartest president we have ever had.

people forget that this country was already effed up by the BUSH ADMINISTRATION before OBAMA took office, i mean honestly people, G. W. is the one who effed this country up, Obama inherited his MESS, i wish people would stop blaming Obama for things that were going to happen whether he assumed office or not.

HOPEFULLY,BUILD 'GREEN' BUSINESSES,WHICH CREATES JOBS; WHILE REPAIRING THE DEVASTATION TO OUR AIR,WATER,& LAND. I BELIEVE PRESIDENT OBAMA WANTS TO ACCOMPLISH HUMANE GOALS FOR OUR NON-WEALTHY PEOPLE. HOW DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO-WHEN HE HAS TO FIGHT OVER EVERY ISSUE FROM THE CORRUPT SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS & THEIR GOVERNMENT 'PATSIES'!!

Wow! That's all I can say is... Wow! I can tell by the hate filled comments that the conservatives in here are the same low-intelligence apes who think that MythBusters is any more a reliable source of scientific data than is Sesame Street.

1.) Obama did produce his birth certificate already to the people who matter. If you haven't seen it, it's because your existence really just doesn't matter to anyone. But just because you're not important enough to see it doesn't mean that he does not have one. Obama IS an American citizen and a Christian. Quit hating your own life and get over yourself.

2.) MythBusters is a joke of a show because MANY of the myths they have supposedly confirmed or busted have been confirmed or busted to the contrary by legitimate scientists or engineers. These guys need a disclaimer (just as Fox News does) stating that they are not a reliable source of information because they really don't know what they're doing and are pure entertainment to those on the lower end of the IQ spectrum. This legend HAS BEEN confirmed already by another team of legitimate engineers using polished copper parabolic mirrors and proved that Archimedes method is in fact valid. One factor these two amateurs failed to take into account is that the sun is much higher in elevation in the Mediterranean area of the world with more direct and higher energy sun rays. Information like this is what REAL scientists and engineers understand and this type of experiment should be left only to such professionals when giving numbskulls the impression that your data might be valid and to be taken as fact. It frightens me even more that such backwoods idiots who put any creedence whatsoever in either MythBusters or Fox News also have the capability of effecting political elections in this country. Judging by the comments I've seen so far, they pretty much parallel the Nazi dumbass they put in office the 8 years previous to Obama. So...? Archimedes wins! MythBusters loses.

I love MythBusters and think it is a great show to inspire young minds; however, I don't think any more young minds are going to watch it because Mr. Obama says its a good show. He should be consentrating on the country. Mythbusters is plenty good at getting kids hooked. Let Mythbusters do their job and you do yours.

Okay, I am probably the world's biggest critic of President Obama, but when you're in his presence you WEAR A COAT AND TIE! It's respect for the office, not just the man.

I'm NOT going to make any political statement, I'm only going to address the mythbusters use of 500 mirrors. I'm just inclined to think that if Archamides did indeed used polished soldiers' shields, surely we are talking about thousands, if not tens of thousands of said mirrors? I wonder how this episode would have transpired with 5,000 or 10,000 mirrors (I know, not really feasible) instead of just 500.

It would appear that I picked a fine time to stop watching Mythbusters. Loved the show too. What a shame!
