Oprah Discusses BFF Gayle King, Begins to Cry (VIDEO)

Oprah Winfrey Talks Gayle King on 'Barbara Walters'Ever since Barbara Walters teased her prime-time interview with Oprah Winfrey on 'Good Morning America' earlier this week, the blogosphere has been dissecting the preview clip Walters offered, in which Winfrey discussed best friend Gayle King and denied rumors that she is a lesbian.

On 'A Barbara Walters Special: Oprah, The Next Chapter' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC), Winfrey described King as "the mother I never had. She is the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves." Tearing up, Winfrey added, "I don't know a better person. I don't know a better person."

When asked why she was crying, Winfrey answered, "I'm thinking about how much I probably have never told her that." Then to an off-camera minion, she said, "Tissue, please! I now need tissue."

Sounds like the individuals posting comments have not made any major contributions on any level whatsoever. Oh, how easy is it to criticize someone who is unaware of your existence? I hope your comments provided warmth and a sense of accomplishment in your somewhat empty and unfulfilled lives. Whatever Oprah does or who she choses to do it with is her personal business and does not affect anyone else. I'm just saying...

I completely agree. I find it absolutey laughable the lengths people will go to spread venom and hate. Oh and the racist remarks are even more pathetic. Recognize Gayle is not really a noteworthy subject unless it's connected to her friendship with Oprah so the press would not focus on any other friendship Gayle may have because it's not news worthy. Smh @ racists needing to imply Oprah is a lesbian to make themselves feel better that she is a sucessful black woman who has done phenomenal things with her career and has amassed an incredible fortune for herself. Kudos to Oprah LOL!!!

ok.. I get Oprah and her "life long partner" Stedman have a relationship without being married. That happens a lot (take Gene Simmons & Shannon Tweed for example - toghether for over 20 years and never married, if you need a famous reference) No biggie... but!! has anyone ever heard of her BF Gayle having a bf at all - or other g/fs? ?? She just seems to hang out with Oprah and no one else, ever.. Or at leat the media does not pick up on any of her other activites or chooses not to report them... interesting, huh??? And why is Stedman NEVER present when they go on trips???? and why dosen't Gayle have a b/f or a friend to take along also?? I have a relationship and once or twice have had a girl's only weekend.. but always???????? no significant other along?? just a g/f on a trip to Austrailia, camping, etc??? I don't care if they are gay or not.. it's just freaking weird!!!!

I wish she would end that horrible show like she said she would....how much more punishment must we take having to look at this ugly boon. Millions of white women will now probably commit suicide if she ever does quit. ..... it must be hell having more money than you can spend in fifty lifetimes.
