Bill O'Reilly Doesn't Think There's Any 'Love' Between Himself and David Letterman (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Dec 13th 2010 9:30PM
Laura Ingraham filled in for Bill O'Reilly on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8PM ET on Fox News), but the host still called in to discuss his appearance on the 'Late Show With David Letterman' last week.

Letterman and O'Reilly have traded unfriendly barbs in the past, and Ingraham asked O'Reilly to address the "new love" between himself and the late-night host, which she thought she picked up on during their latest encounter.

"I don't know if I'd call it love; he called me a blowhard and -- I don't think there's any love between Dave and I," O'Reilly said. "I go on the program obviously to plug (my book) 'Pinheads and Patriots,' which I think is a worthy endeavor. I was on for a long time, three segments ... but nobody walked off the set, so that's a plus."

The quip about walking off the set is in reference to an appearance O'Reilly made on 'The View' in October, in which Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg stormed off the set after O'Reilly made a comment about Muslims they disagreed with. O'Reilly patched things up with Goldberg on 'The Factor,' and posed for a friendly picture with Behar at the White House holiday party this weekend.

Further proof there are no real feuds among TV personalities as long as there are books to sell.

Bill O'Reilly thinks he's so smart. He makes the same grammatical mistake most people make when using "I" instead of "me". He's just a big-mouth trouble maker like Sarah Palin.

WHOA! "Nothingness"......you have just announced that YOU are the trailer trash. "...bewteen David and ME..." is absolutely CORRECT and proper English usage! (I am an English Major with PhD) Here's the rule: Say the sentence (or phrase) to yourself WITHOUT the other person included.....to be CERTAIN wheher you use "me" or "I"........e.g...(Dave) and "I" went to the store....(I went to the store)......OR "the joke was for (Dave) and me." You would NOT say: "The joke was for "I"......so you do NOT say: "The joke was for Dave and I!!" better get out of the trailer and BACK TO SCHOOL!! Best not to try to correct a JOURNALIST with the credentials of Bill O'Rielly!!

Bill O'Reilly is a pompous idiot. If would have spent more time watching the screen and less time primping while in the green room, he would have known that the "blowhard" comment was a joke that Letterman set up before O'Reilly came out.

Being called a pinhead by O'Rielly is a compliment. That man is a hateful, insulting, rabble-rouser and an idiot.

I figured out Letterman was a jerk and a weasel 15 years ago. Recent events including the way it was revealed he treats women staffers has proved me correct. Where are all the femi-nazi protesters when a letcherous liberal like Letterman and Bubba Bill Clinton get busted for sexual harassment?

@BP: Your use of terms like "femi-nazi" and decision to bring political leanings into the discussion destroy any credibility you hope to have on the topic. You also are despairingly short on facts: Letterman was, in fact, never "busted" for sexual harrassment; none of the women he's been involved with have complained about their consenual and as far as we know mutually gratifiying relationships. The only person I've heard complaining about Letterman's private life is you (and people like you) and the criminal who tried to blackmail him, jealous when his girlfriend left him. Mr. O'Reilly, however, HAS been very publicly humiliated for making unwanted comments and advances to a woman. You might want to think about changing "lecherous liberal" into "integrity-challenged independent", or whatever Mr. O'Reilly is pretending to be. And you might want to wipe some of the mouth-foam off your computer screen.

Bill O'Reilly is typical of new money and short on wisdom. I liked as Letterman scoffed when he (Letterman) mentioned "the factor". Now, that's a joke.

Why O'Reilly even goes on the old grouches show is beyond me. A multi-millionaire, Letterman tries to spout the liberal line and comes off as the biggest phony (behind Keith Obermann)on television. Like Tiger, he cheats on his wife and then tries to come off as better than thou! This nasty, bitter old man should retire and give someone else a chance hosting a late night show.

I have no respect for David Letterman. Zero credibility. He is out for himself. Always has been.
