After the Republicans captured the House of Representatives in the mid-term election last month, Speaker of the House to-be John Boehner teared up while recounting his long personal journey to the third-highest office in the land. On '60 Minutes' (Sunday 7 PM ET on CBS) Lelsie Stahl asked Boehner why the occasion had moved him to tears. Boehner explained that there are certain things he finds hard to talk about, and mentioned that he can no longer visit schools, which he used to do often.
Why?" Stahl wondered.
"Making sure these kids have a shot at the American dream," Boehner explained, as he started to get choked up. "It's important," he added, before losing it completely.
"What you see is what you get," Boehner said, after composing himself. "I know who I am. I'm comfortable in my own skin, and everybody who knows me knows that I get emotional about certain things."
