Sarah Palin was in Haiti over the weekend, and an AP photograph taken of her during her trip was captioned "Sarah Palin has her hair done during a visit to a cholera treatment center."

Greta Van Susteren, who accompanied Palin on the visit, was there when the picture was shot, and wanted everyone to know it wasn't a case of Palin having a professional getting her camera-ready as Haitians suffered in the background, which the caption seemed to suggest.

"As you can imagine, a bunch of websites went wild, hammering Sarah Palin for bringing a hairstylist to Haiti," Van Susteren said on 'On the Record' (Weekdays, 10PM ET on Fox News.) "Only problem, the person in the picture is not a hairstylist, it's the governor's daughter Bristol, who was just reaching up and fixing her mother's hair."

"Was that AP caption lame and deceiving, and why did they do it?" Van Susteren wondered.

Perhaps a more accurate caption would have been "Sarah Palin has her hair fixed by 'Dancing With the Stars' finalist .... oh, nevermind.
