Nine Unanswered 'Glee' Questions

Countdown to Festivus on Dec. 23: On the ninth day of Festivus, TV gave us to ... nine unanswered questions about 'Glee.'
In just a season and a half, 'Glee' has established itself as one of the most talked-about shows on television. But with so many characters and so little time to tell their stories, there are bound to be hiccups.
The Fox hit has a penchant for leaving a whole lot of things up in the air, keeping characters two-dimensional and rushing plots. While we can't ponder all of the head-scratchers, let's take a look at these nine burning questions.
9. How was Coach Beiste able to afford Artie's ReWalk?
Christmas miracles are all well and good, but just how was Beiste able to afford a gadget with a $100,000 price tag? (The instrument is real; it was invented a couple of years ago and will be available for purchase in the U.S. in January.) For even the highest-paid teachers, that's about a year's salary. Oh wait, does Beiste even teach? Does Sue even teach? So far we've only seen them "coach." Thus, another question is born: Is Beiste filthy rich?
3. What is Puck's motivation? We all know that in real life Mark Salling was busy recording and promoting his own solo CD, but the writers on 'Glee' dealt with the MIA cast member in a really odd way: By sending Puck to juvy. But aside from a few quips here and there, the issue hasn't really been dealt with, nor have the logistics ever made total sense. He drove his mom's car into a store and tried to steal from an ATM, then went to prison for a few weeks? What was the point of his robbery attempt? What's the point of anything he does? We demand a look inside the mind of Noah Puckerman ASAP!
2. Is Brittany and Artie's relationship real?
The recent Brittany/Artie paring seems a little odd, especially since Brit took his virginity solely as a way to make Santana jealous in episode 5. Artie was very upset, but then the next episode he wanted her back. Oh hello, inconsistent characterization, nice to see you again. Their relationship seemed pretty serious in the past few episodes, and it would've been nice to see Artie work out his feelings in regards to losing his V-card.
1. Is New Directions a family or not?
They're a family. No wait, they hate each other. Which is it!? On one hand we had the boys of 'Glee' taking on Karovsky for bullying Kurt, on the other we have Santana vindictively telling Rachel about her short-lived tryst with Finn. One was loving, one was curel. Everybody, including Mercedes has been quick with the Rachel-hating this season. Plus, whatever happened to Mercedes' friendship with Quinn? It seems like writers needs to make up their minds on this one.
