Knock-down, drag-out fights on 'The View' weren't just limited to political rivals Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck this year. No, no. The ladies of 'The View' were also quite comfortable arguing with their guests. Squabbles between Behar and Hasselbeck do figure prominently among our nominees for 'The View's' Best Arguments of 2010. But, there were also memorable altercations involving firebrand Bill O'Reilly and comedian Kathy Griffin. Watch and enjoy, since, after all, nothing's more entertaining than watching these ladies engage in a round of verbal fisticuffs. Which argument will emerge victorious as the most entertaining of the year? You be the judge.The Nominees:
Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg Storm Off the Set: In one of the most replayed moments from 'The View' all year, Behar and Whoopi Goldberg walked off the set after a comment by O'Reilly that "Muslims killed us on 9/11." Even better, Barbara Walters scolded the two for their behavior. "You have just seen what should not happen," said Walters. "We should be able to have discussions without washing our hands and screaming and walking offstage."
Joy Behar Insults Sarah Palin Supporters: While discussing Sarah Palin's reaction to author Joe McGinniss, who moved next door to the Palins in order to research a book on them, Behar insults supporters of Palin by calling them "dittoheadish." This sends Hasselbeck into a rage, who responds, "You can't make a comment [and] say, 'Anyone who follows Palin or wants to hear what she has to say is a dittohead!"
Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Kathy Griffin Spar: Hasselbeck took exception to jokes Griffin has made about the show's hosts and told her, "You've said things about people here that are a) untrue and b) not so funny. So, do you ever feel weird then coming here and sitting here?" But Griffin was unfazed. "Actually, this moment is what I live for. So, bring it," she responded.
Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck Argue Over Proposed Tax Hike: Things got heated between Behar and Hasselbeck as they discussed Christine O'Donnell, but a full-scale firestorm erupted when they turned to President Barack Obama's proposed plan to raise taxes for wealthier individuals. "They're changing the lingo. So, guess what? All senior citizens are going to end up paying the price on this tax. And it's a crime in this country!" raged Hasselbeck.
Whoopi Goldberg Fumes Over Smokers' Rights: Goldberg got smoking mad over the lack of places she can light up and was even bleeped by censors: "All these people said, 'Well, no, you can't smoke outside. You can't smoke inside. You can't smoke upstairs. Can't smoke anywhere.' I think it's b*******!"| Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg storm off the set | |
