And the 'Survivor: Nicaragua' Winner Is ... (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 20th 2010 3:29AM
Who Is the Winner of 'Survivor: Nicaragua'?After 39 days in the wilderness, after living through fire and rain, after the players survived stolen food and even survived NaOnka -- it was time to declare a winner on 'Survivor: Nicaragua' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS).

Five contestants entered the finale, but Dan was voted out after the first immunity challenge, and Holly -- the last female contestant -- was voted out following the second challenge. This left us with the all-male group of Chase, Fabio and Sash. And the winner of 'Survivor: Nicaragua' is ...

... Jud "Fabio" Birza! Jud nicknamed himself "Fabio" during the show, hoping that the name would make the other players think he was slow and dimwitted. But once he entered the finals, Fabio took over. He had to defeat the Chase/Holly/Sash alliance and win all three challenges to get the $1 million grand prize. And he did both.

By a vote of 5 to 4, Fabio defeated Chase and won the tense contest. After his victory, he rushed into the audience and embraced his family members and loved ones. Meanwhile, the crowd watching back in his hometown of St. Louis jumped up and down and screamed.

As Jeff Probst pointed out, this season began as a "showdown between old versus young." But in the end, it was won by the youngest champion in the show's history. Fabio, winner of the twenty-first installment of 'Survivor', is only 21 years old.

What did you think of this season's show? Do you think the right player won?

To the writer of this artical Oliver Miller. Fabio didnt name himself Fabio, the other players did on the 1st or 2nd show. Maybe you should watch it before you try to tell everyone how things go.

Jud "Fabio" Birza, totally deserved to win. From the beginning, he had a game plan. He layed low in the early challenges knowing that those who show prowess in the early challenges are peceived as threats and quickly voted off. He played the goofy surfer dude to the hilt to appear innocuous but was onto the back-stabbing triumvirate while trusting Jane got played. There was nothing dumb about "Fabio" and winning the last 3 challenges wasn't a fluke. He had the physical and mental ability all along and pulled it out in the last 3 challenges. He came from behind and solved the puzzle to win the needed challenge where he would have been a sure goner. His back to back wins left the backstabbers dumbfounded. They thought they had it made. "Fabio" outplayed the others by winning challenges when he needed to, outsmarted them by playing a goofball and outlasted by taking the prize. The reason he didn't stop smiling after winning the last challenge was because he knew he had the million. The only person who may have received more votes was Holly and he voted her off. He knew he had the votes. Sash and Chase had ticked off too many people. I'd say pretty smart for a wet behind the ears 21 year old kid to pull off and he didn't have to cut anyone's throat to do it. It was refreshing to see him win.

I love Survivor. Of all the reality shows this is the most entertaining. The one thing I've always disliked is that the one who is the most deceptive, most manipulative, the biggest liar is usually but not always the one who wins. It is refreshing to see Fabio win. He didn't do any of those things. He was for real, stayed with his alliances and believed the people he thought were his friends. I was very surprised to see he voted Holly out but he was right to think he might have a hard time winning with her in the final three. After all they were going to vote him out had he not won the last 3 challenges. So yeah, I think the right person won. What he does with his million, what does it matter, he was the one who suffered thru those horrible days, I hope he enjoys himself. He deserves it.

He should be called 'Nutsio'! The first dumb thing out of his mouth about what he planned to do with his winnings was to undermine our government. Sound's like he's part of that ad team that wants to use tax money to try and take control of our way of life. This "I won the last 3 challenges" like he had taken a leap of faith and pulled his mental prowess to the forefront. Stacking coins, a puzzle and what was the last challenge, picking his nose? Good thing he kept his talents hidden to the end. After taxes he may end up with 600K. He'll be broke in a year after his artsy family feeds at his trough. The type of people appearing on 'Survivor' are being scrapped off the bottom of the 'Immunity Idol'. Use to be the best show on TV, now it ranks down there with GZ Mosgue. Shame.

I give him credit for saying that on national TV. Our corrupt, bloated government needs undermining, but you go ahead and worship Obama and continue to collect welfare and let others get raped by taxes you worthless sheep. It amazes me how sports and Hollywood continue to stultify an entire nation to the point where the dumb masses don't even know what a government's function is anymore. You dont even realize how much the government takes advantage of us.

What an evil witch Naonka is. She just exemplifies the character of black people. (or lack thereof). I never understand how these scumbags can try to justify their actions by saying it's just a game. It's not just a game. They are competing for a million bucks which is life changing money. Imagine what these cockroaches would do without the bounds of rules. Assault? Murder? She'd probably cut Kelly's other leg off. The fact that she's a teacher is just mind boggling to me. That's the kind of role model black students have to look up to? What a joke. And congratulations to the one-legged Kelly who never complained or exhibited any self pity. She was dirty Naonka's antithesis. Black vs. white. Good vs. evil.

OK Ron Spears, if you're going to give an English or spelling lesson, it might be a good thing if you learned to spell yourself. Your statement: 'Your an idiot and need to learn how write and spell' /// First, you need to know the difference between your and you're. What you meant to say is "you are and idiot" which is abbreviated you're. Second, you meant to use the word quiet, but you spelled it q-u-i-t-e. WRONG, WRONG! Now don't YOU feel foolish.

Fabio deserved to win. He had a game plan and it worked. You could just look at Sash and tell he was a back stabbing, snake in the fool. He kept his "game" all the way to the end, just telling lie after lie and digging a hole so deep I doubt he walked away with a single friend.

Isn't a gym teacher supposed to teach good Sportmanship? NaOnka didn't even play fair, she knocked the girl down because she was greedy, she attacked everyone, stold everyones food and she is a quitter, she didn't deserve to be on the jury. They should have disqualified her for that or the other players should have voted her off that day, but she would have played the race card if she got booted. Remove her from the school system and give them a teacher who teaches the right stuff.
