Jack Black Apologizes to Meredith Vieira for Cutting Her Scene From 'Gulliver's Travels' (VIDEO)

Uh oh, Jack Black, you've got some explaining to do. It seems that Meredith Vieira was cast in Black's big screen adaptation of 'Gulliver's Travels,' but her scene ended up on the cutting room floor. Black apologizes profusely to Vieira while wearing a Santa hat on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC).

"I called her with the bad news ... in fact, the whole scene had been cut," Black told Matt Lauer. "Sometimes, for the good of the film, great scenes have to be cut for the flow."

But Black promised to make amends with Vieira for the snub. "I want her to know, wherever she is, Meredith, I will make it up to you," he said. "I sing weddings or, you know, Bar Mitzvahs."
