The Cirque du Soleil Explores the Mysteries of the Universe, Using Cubes and Half-Naked DudesEverybody loves a circus! Unless you're afraid of clowns. Or unless you're Britney Spears, because the word probably reminds her of the, um, "less popular" era of her career. But Britney Spears and people who are afraid of clowns aside ... pretty much everybody else loves a circus.

And we got to test this theory on the new 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), as the Cirque du Soleil appeared and performed their "Mystère" show. According to the description of the show, "Mystère" is meant to invoke "an exploration of the origins of life in our universe." ... We're not sure how that translates to "shirtless guy spinning a giant cube over his head," but okay.

Plus, it's the Cirque du Soleil. Probably if they had to do an dramatic interpretation of -- say -- the Wall Street bailouts, or Sandra Bullock's divorce, or pretty much anything, they'd still manage to interpret it as "shirtless guy with cube, plus acrobats; lots of acrobats."

But oh, Cirque du Soleil, we don't mean to tease you. You are awesome, and we could never do any of the stuff that you do. (Although if you are really good with cubes, you might want to consider moving to Montreal and joining them.) So anyway -- Cirque du Soleil, circuses in general, even clowns .. what do you guys think? Do you love or hate them? Are you pro or con?
