Amanda Peet Suffers an Attack of Stage Fright on 'The View' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Dec 22nd 2010 1:30PM
Actress Amanda Peet admits on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) that she suffers from chronic stage fright, and says that even her appearance on the talk show causes her some anxiety.

"It's terrible," Peet said, showing a trembling hand and adding that 'The View's' live audience makes her nervous. "You'd think I'd be over it by now. It's ridiculous!"

Peet said that even becoming a mother of two hasn't cured her: "Everyone's like, 'Doesn't it just give you the greatest perspective once you have children?' And I say, 'No.'"

Hasselback, sweet? She is the one I like the least on "The View". With her mousy voice and her big mouth opinionated comments, I can't believe Barbra Walters hasn't fired her. The only one that should be on that show is "Whoopie Goldberg". She's the only one with intelligence and know-how. Get rid of the others.

I keep seeing these notes on AOL news blurbs saying the announced TV clip may be missing. Often it is. But without the clip, where is the story? Nowhere! No clip, no story. But does this stop AOL from running this non-clip? Nah. They continue to promote it knowing damned well - or should - that the clip has expired. It is policies like this that keep AOL firmly in the amateur category of publishers.

I have been watching Oprah for years. Most of her shows have been very enlightening on tons of topics that have helped millions of people have more clarity about the world around us. She has invited hundreds of professional guests from all walks of life to share their knowledge and hopes for a better future for us all. She encouraged people like Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz and several others to have their own shows for us to glean from.

I understand that Oprah is ready for a new chapter in her life that will again open the TV world for a new creative experience for all to enjoy and learn from. Perhaps she will appear on her new "OWN"
Network from time to time.

Good luck on your new venture Oprah! You have done a wonderful job and service to all that appreciate your hard work!

Sincerely,

Bobbie from Boca
