Chris Matthews Uses Scene From 'Love Actually' to Demonstrate How 'Prickish' the GOP Is (VIDEO)
After reading a quote from Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, in which he vowed to only negotiate with Barack Obama "if the president is willing to do what we think is in the best interest of the American people," Chris Matthews used a tactic generally reserved for Glenn Beck and played his 'Hardball With Chris Matthews' (weekdays 5PM ET on MSNBC) audience a movie clip."I've seen (this) about a million times," Matthews exaggerated, before playing the scene from 'Love Actually' in which the U.S. president, played by Billy Bob Thornton, tells the British prime minister, played by Hugh Grant, "I'll give you anything you ask for, as long as it's not something I don't want to give."
"Well that prickish comment from him is exactly seeming what the Republican strategy is," Matthews argued.
If Matthews thought that was prickish, he should check out Thornton in 'Mr. Woodcock.'
