The "stars" weren't the reason I stopped watching. It was the judges. Mr. Weir in particular was the reason I changed the channel.

I agree w/several previously mentioned points,the MC was the WRONG choice (no offense he might be a nice man -just he wasn't the best choice for this gig) The stars were not big enough names, although I was familiar w/Greenlee & Rebecca. And really there were so few of them(I wonder if getting contestants was a real problem especially considering how easy it would be to get injured-other projects "stars" might already be committed to, might not be so gracious in working around their skating practice & appearances if was good chance of them getting injured & causing delays in the other commitments schedule.)
Also it did run very close up to the holidays & everybody's super busy w/out taking on an added task.
I thought Bethanny did pretty well, all things considered & was glad she got the fan votes to keep her on. It was easier to compare 2 women skaters than a man & woman finalist, because so much of what the man does is framing & supporting the woman skater in pairs skating especially w/ such short presentation times. And I think Bethanny had the right attitude towards the whole thing. And that the judges were way to picky overall,for the time span & the sport's inherent difficulty,but especially seemed pre-prejudiced against Bethanny-especially the lady judge the first few weeks-although she seemed to have trimmed her claws for the last couple of shows. Agree also the pro skaters weren't well known either. And the voting system was really screwy-they would go thru all the work & make a presentation that night, but then b4 the show ended they might be voted off based on what they did B4 that in the previous week-that made NO sense! I don't know how the pay system was structured for the stars or the pros(& that could've also affected their abiity to attract bigger name celebs & pros)tho' I would doubt it is as generous as DWTS(winner there gets a pretty good chunk of change). All in all it is just NOT an activity/sport conducive to this format of competition & judges expecting olympic-similar routines from amateurs/novices.Music choices were picked by whom?(not the judges as in DWTS)They were lacking in energy as well.Clearly the format & the timing of when the show aired hoped to gleen some profits on the coat tails of DWTS, it's just to bad for those who did compete that the whole presentation seemed somewhat "thrown together". Wish that all reality shows BOMB out and be taken off the air....wasting to much tv on them....

I saw 2 episodes of it and rate it several notches below watching paint dry.

Driving to Nowhere, Nevada and watching the grass grow at the cemetary is far more exciting.

This show was very entertaining except for the next to last night. Bethany Frankel can't skate and is boring,rude,obnoxious and tacky. How she could have been kept on and the talented couple voted off was what ruined the show.
