'Glory Daze': Eli Channels 'Top Gun's' Tom Cruise to Get a Girl (VIDEO)

'Top Gun' is all the rage for the 1980s college kids in 'Glory Daze' (Tue., 10PM ET on TBS). Eli decides to take several cues from the film to pick up a woman. In a white Navy uniform à la Tom Cruise, he struts past a tall, buxom blonde. She approaches him, saying breathily, "So you just point, wink, blow my mind and then leave me hanging?" He replies, "That's what we call a fly-by."

As they dance, they flirt in 'Top Gun' lingo. "Permission to go below the hard deck?" she asks. Permission granted.
