Olivia Clashes With a New Makeup Artist Over a Client on 'Jerseylicious' (VIDEO)

'Jerseylicious'The Gatsby has a new makeup artist on 'Jerseylicious' (Sun. 8PM on Style) and she immediately started ruffling some feathers, starting with Olivia. We found ourselves in a quandary as we could immediately see both sides of the situation.

After Olivia had done the makeup for one of her clients, apparently the new girl went after her and did a touch-up. When Olivia came to see what was going on, the new girl said, "It was just a little, um, not blended enough. So I did just a little bit. But you did a great job."

That last bit came across a bit patronizing, and that sent Olivia off. She was professional enough to pull the new girl aside before laying into her. "When I do someone's make-up," she said. "I would appreciate it if you don't touch it."

She then went on to suggest that the girl bring any issues to Olivia so Olivia can be the one to fix it. "It's my client," she said. "You like belittled me in front of my client.

The new girl was having none of that, and said she was "way older" than Olivia and has "a lot more experience." Her argument was that "the client was happy. That's all that matters."

We'll admit that we don't know how the Gatsby handles their employees, but at many salons, stylists only get money based on their own clients. So it is very bad form to go after someone else's client as this new girl did. But it's also a cutthroat industry, so it's certainly not unheard of or unprecedented.

Maybe it is "Team Gatsby" as the new girl said at the end, but it also could be that she was trying to steal a client from Olivia. If that was the case, Olivia was very right to step in and try to shut that down. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if her little talk had much impact at all.
