Lisa Kudrow Adores Meryl Streep, Calls Her 'Smartypants' (VIDEO)

I completely agree with you Summery Warm! But since everyone holds Streep as THE great actress I've never been brave enough to say that I think she's kinda...what you said...mediocre. She can't touch natural actresses like Cher and Sally Field. Jane Fonda has her stagy moments too. She's OK most of the time. But since you mentioned it, Streep has A LOT of times when I think she says her lines kinda lousy!!!

I like Meryl Streep too, but regardless of what ANYONE says, she's not a great actress. She's a GOOD actress, SOMETIMES. But honestly, the viewer is always reminded that she's ACTING. And she should avoid all types of accents at ALL COSTS; she's positively sour and inconsistent in that arena! But whether natural, method, or anything else, everyone around her performs her right under the table, without question. If you doubt this assessment, watch one of her performances, and remember my review. You'll see.
