The New Year's Snooki Ball Drop Was Like a One-Story Elevator Ride (VIDEO)

Snooki, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'MTV featured a Snooki-ball drop for their New Year's Eve coverage, where the diminutive reality star was lowered in a ball to commemorate the new year. Jay Leno showed her the coverage when she appeared on 'The Tonight Show' (Weekdays, 11:35PM on NBC), and it really captured how incredibly not-exciting the event was.

It first started to go wrong when they found out Times Square didn't want her there. "I guess they didn't want two balls competing against each other," she said. Leno tried to resist this set-up, but he couldn't.

"I know how that is," he said. But we don't. We get that there's an innuendo there, but it's certainly not a clear one. What competition would there be? What's going on in Jay's -- you know what? Never mind. We don't want to know.
"Times Square didn't want me," Snooki said. "So they put me back in the ball and hamstered me over to Jersey." We doubt she really ran like a hamster back to New Jersey, but if she had it might have been more entertaining than the "drop" she eventually did.

As the footage clearly showed, she went down maybe six or eight feet. "It was ... not even a story," she admitted. Despite the obvious lack of peril, though, Snooki did manage to down to cups of vodka beforehand, for her nerves.

What gives you the right to call her all that bad talk if you never seen the show tou should keep your opinion to yoursrelf, she is very sweet girl that was picked to be in the program she has to have something to get there.

Round, short Snookie wore that ball like a skin tight dress! This cheap, untalented little feral hog is such an unfortunate looking pigmy like beast, I can't, for the life of me, understand who or why anyone would find her the slightest bit interesting or entertaining! YUCK!!!

Jersey Shore is just the latest example of America's entertainment taste in the cesspool. Sweaty, pumped-up ignorant slobs and slutty-looking (and acting) women are a disgusting depiction of both Italian-Americans and the beautiful eastern shore. That the program is promoted be highly-watched comedians like Leno is sad, and MTV shows continue to be aimed at lower-class Jerry- Springer- type audiences.

My God it is a good thing they did not really put her in the ball in timesquare. It's definately not rigged to hold her, but then again it would be one less italian ho' wasted away in alcoholic land.

That girl Snooki is a real moron in my opinion. I'm was born & raised in NJ & raised my children there, and I'm ashamed to hear she's from NJ also. She needs to get a grip on life & people should stop encouraging her lewd & disgusting behavior. SHE ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT REPRESENT WHAT A NJ RESIDENT IS LIKE.
