Kathy Griffin Gets Four Bravo Specials, 'NCIS' Plans Flashback Episode and More

Kathy Griffin'Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List' might be over (pretty much), but the comedian will stick around on Bravo for no less than four new standup specials in 2011.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the shows will air quarterly.

In a statement, Griffin said "I went to Bravo and told them I thought I was being a little too nice in my stand up specials. They agreed ... and gave me four more. Let the fur fly."

In other TV news ...

Illeana Douglas has been cast as Lily's older sister on 'Gossip Girl.' Krysten Ritter played Carol in last season's flashback episode. [TV Line]

Grant Show will pop up in the Jan. 16 premiere of 'Big Love.' The former 'Melrose Place' resident will play a "spiritual marketing guru." [EW]

'NCIS' is planning an origin story for Tony. "The episode will reveal much about DiNozzo's past as a Baltimore cop," said executive producer Shane Brennan. [TV Line]

Speaking of 'NCIS,' USA Network's New Year's marathon of the show performed well. The 'NCIS' marathon gave USA its second-highest-rated day ever. [Variety]

HBO is developing a new series from 'Blue Valentine' screenwriter Derek Cianfrance. 'Muscle' is based on Sam Fussell's memoir 'Muscle: Confessions of an Unlikely Bodybuilder.' [Deadline]

Jason Lee's Adult Swim pilot 'Shredd: The Jon Johnsenson Story' is filling out its cast. Molly Sims, Faizon Love, Malcolm David Kelley and Kevin Pollak have all joined the show. [TV Line]

This sounds like an opportunity for Richard Belzer to play Munch on a 10th show.
