'Survivor: Redemption Island' Cast Revealed

Survivor: Redemption Island Cast Eighteen castaways will try to outwit, outplay and outlast for a chance at the top prize when 'Survivor: Redemption Island' premieres on Wed., Feb. 16.

Of those 18, two will be former castaways vying for redemption. According to CBS, during the game, eliminated contestants will still have a chance to redeem themselves and go for the $1 million prize. After a contestant is sent out of the main game during Tribal Council, they will be transported to 'Redemption Island,' where they will live in exile. After the next elimination, the exiled contestant and the newest ousted player must duel. The winner of the 'Redemption Island' duel stays to face the next, with the last exiled player returning to the main game to go for the title of Sole Survivor.

Meet the 16 fresh faces below. The final two contestants, the former castaways, will be revealed this week.

Wow, I guess you have to be a california resident to be on Survivor--REALLY! And I agree with Jean O. about Russell. He is a rich piece of crap that doesn't deserve to be on survivor. I'd say this series has seen it's end and gone to the dogs. Why bother with and exotic backdrop---save your money and do the show on a hollywood backdrop as that way the contestants can go home when not filming.

They just couldn't leave well enough alone. We here were all Survivor fans from day one, but we wanna see a different cast of NEW people every season. Besides, Russell is a stupid, sickening piece of crap whose style of play is idiotic. I cannot stand that man and will not be watching Survivor til it goes back to the original format. You really effed up this time, Jeff.

As a long time Survivor fan, I have to admit I am sick of the formulaic casting for this show. I would much rather it be a slice of "REAL" life, not "tv reality". Frikken tired of Boston Rob and Russell also.

By looking at these photos it's quite apparent they have a formula. Gawd I hate marketing..
