Snow Ends Cal Ripken Jr.'s Consecutive 'Fox & Friends' Appearance Streak (VIDEO)

Has baseball's all-time Iron Man lost his edge? Much to the chagrin of the folks on 'Fox & Friends' (weekdays, 6AM ET on Fox News) Cal Ripken Jr. wasn't able to make a scheduled appearance on the program Wednesday due to the snow in the Northeast.

Brain Kilmeade was especially bothered by Ripken's no-show, since he had assured the audience earlier in the week that Ripken would be on set because "Cal Ripken won't call in sick, he never, never does."

Ripken was able to join the show by phone, and explained the key difference between his legendary streak of consecutive games played and his current absence: "It never snowed in the summer for baseball," he joked.

Later, the gang discussed how long Ripken's consecutive 'Fox & Friends' streak had lasted, with Ripken pegging it at "5 or 6," and Kilmeade suggesting it was at "60." It was a whopping discrepancy that was left oddly unexplained. Hey, welcome to 'Fox & Friends!'
