Sandra Oh Teases Her Mother About Moldy Cheese Incident (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Jan 13th 2011 7:00AM
Sandra Oh Talks About Her Mom on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Sandra Oh loves her parents, she really does. But she loves making fun of them, too. "Who of you have immigrant parents?" she asked the audience of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC). She clarified that they (and/or Koreans) might better relate to the story she was about to share.

After spending 10 days with her family in Vancouver over the holidays, Oh returned to Los Angeles, with her parents in tow. Her mother (who was in the studio audience) discovered a piece of cheese that had been in her luggage for days. Obviously, it had become very moldy.

Oh said, "I hope you tossed it out?!" but she replied, "I cut the mold off, and it's in the fridge." Then in solidarity with her mother, she ate it.

PLEASE FOLKS!! Read your encyclopedia, CHEESE is made of MOLD. Good grief. I have cut mold off cheese all my life. IT DOES NOT AFFECT the rest of the cheese. Doesn't change the quality nor the taste of the remaining cheese.
I imagine restuarants do the same thing and YOU JUST don't know it.

Everyone who enjoys blue cheese eats moldy cheese.

This is no big deal.

I don't care about the cheese story, all mothers do that. But I'm more concerned about the mother who is FORCING her young daughter to have her eyebrows waxed. WHY, WHY I ask in all that is holy would a mother do this to a child. I know you men don't understand what this is like, but even grown women often have a hard time with this procedure. IT HURTS!!! I've become very used to it and don't mind it much but if you do get a bad stylist, it can hurt like hell. A young girl like this is beautiul, JUST AS SHE IS!!! This sort of thing should honestly be considered child abuse. This mother is pure fruitcake. If she can't see the beauty in her own daughter just the way she is then she shouldn't even have her. When is someone going to wake up and see just how much damage these pageants do to these young children. They should be outlawed. Is our society really this sick?

THE WHOLE WORLD HAS GONE CHEAP, THROW THE WHOLE PIECE OF CHEESE AWAY AND BUY NEW CHEESE. NOT UNLESS YOU CAN LIVE A NEW DIFFERENT LIFE STYLE WHY HAS EVERYONE GONE SO CHEAP.
I WOULD RATHER HAVE WHAT EVER I WANT WHILE I HERE ON EARTH ,THE $15 OR $20 BUCKS A WEEK WON'T CHANGE MY LIFE STYLE. WAIT AND ADD THE SAVINGS UP AFTER YEARS AND THE ONLY THING YOU'LL HAVE IS DEATH.. LIVE ALL YOUR MONEY EVERY DAY, BE THANKFULL YOU CAN GO TO THE STORE AND SPEND IT. SO MANY PEOPLE ARE LAYING IN SOME HOSPITAL BED WISHING THAY COULD GO TO A STORE...

Nothing irks me more than people like you who blow money for no reason. If you have money enough to waste it like that why don't you give it to someone who doesn't have even mouldy cheese to eat.
I'll bet you buy designer clothes too and everything else some bubblehead tells you is better because of the name of some overpaid celebrity.
Cheese can be safely trimmed and eaten because it contains ''good'' mould while bread has to be thrown away if it has any mould at all on it.

That must be the dumbest story ever and poorly told. My goodness what has this world come to. OH, maybe we could tell her that roquefort cheese, among others, is moldy and is supposed to be.
