Rush Limbaugh and Fox News Feud Over Fox's Positive Reaction to Obama's Tucson Speech (VIDEO)

In a tone that fit the emotion and tragedy of the moment, most of the pundits on Fox News were extremely complimentary to President Obama's speech at the memorial service in Tucson on Wednesday night.Conservative radio talker Rush Limbaugh took a harsher approach, accusing Fox News of "slobbering all over" Obama's speech. He added that the Fox News panel was only so laudatory because the speech was "all the things the educated ruling class wants their members to be and sound like."
Appearing on 'Special Report With Bret Baier' (weekdays, 6AM ET on Fox News), Fox News analyst Charles Krauthammer pushed back at Limbaugh's criticism.
"As one of the three slobberers here on the set, let me just say that I find it interesting that only the ruling class wants a president who is smart, articulate and oratorical in delivering a funeral oration," Krauthammer responded. "It's an odd and rather condescending view of what the rest of America is looking for in their president."
It was a particularly harsh exchange between two media operations whose tone has been very closely aligned over the past two years. Still, despite the feud, we doubt Limbaugh will be switching his news-watching allegiances to MSNBC anytime soon.
