Don't worry kids, little Alex Lambert from last season of 'American Idol' and, ahem, his reps from 'Idol' production company, 19 Entertainment want us to know that the soft spoken Texan is not actually homeless, in the Ted Williams sense of the word.A spokesperson from 19 Entertainment confirmed to EW that Lambert did author the controversial Tweets but stated that "he is not homeless."

In fact, the rep explained that Lambert is currently on a retainer and receiving money every month while working with writers on his music and his demo. And from the following statement, it seems the spokesperson was incredulous regarding Lambert's ability to Tweet while "sleepin on the street and behind buildings."

"He's not homeless. How could he be texting? How could he be going into recording studio and sleeping on the streets? There's no record deal yet, but hopefully these demos something could come from that," said the rep.

Lambert has also backpeddled a bit on his claim of destitution. "I've had so much help out here in LA! I just want oto do things on my own! I have places to stay I just don't want to be a burden on anyone!" Lambert tweeted yesterday.

The season 9 semi-finalist went on to explain, "I have money! And soon I will have a place to stay! I just wanted to let yall know! I'm not some rich spoiled kid! That I've had to hustle and grind and I don't mind sleepin on the street as long as I get my chance! Because I will not take it for granted! I hope yall understand."

Before announcing his last Tweet, (a break from Twitter might not be a bad idea for Lambert right now) he had this to say to his followers:

"I know alot of people think I tweeted my living situation for publicity! But I don't give a damn about fame!"

Intentional or not, Lambert certainly got another fifteen minutes out of the deal. Here's hoping he's also got a place to sleep.
