Congressman Michael Grimm Talks About Being a Deep Cover FBI Agent at a Hedge Fund (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Jan 19th 2011 5:00PM
Before becoming a freshman U.S. Congressman from Staten Island, N.Y., Michael Grimm was a deep cover FBI agent, who spent two years pretending to be a hedge fund manager at a corrupt Wall Street currency firm.

Grimm told On the Record With Greta Van Susteren (weekdays, 10PM ET on Fox News) about the moment it was revealed to his "colleagues," who had just been arrested by the FBI, that he was a plant.

"Right before we got on the bus (to go to jail,) the case agent got up and said, 'Well, we just informed you the amount of evidence we've had ... but the one thing we didn't tell you is that we had an undercover for the last two years working with you. Mikey Suits is special agent Michael Grimm.' "

"And I stood up and they took my handcuffs off. And if you could have seen their faces -- it was something out of movie ... If looks could kill, I'd be dead 20 times over."

Van Susteren then made a joke about Grimm still being undercover. He laughed it off, but a plant infiltrating Congress ... that could get pretty interesting.
