Don Rickles Jokes About Regis Philbin's Retirement (VIDEO)

Don Rickles Talks Regis Philbin on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Concerning the retirement of his dear friend Regis Philbin, Don Rickles joked, "I'm sick about it," and rolled his eyes. "The man was on the show and started to wheeze while he was talking! The little girl next to him's going [he grins], 'He's gonna go, he's gonna go!'"

But in all seriousness the comedian said on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), "He's a very wonderful man." And Rickles will still "see him socially," if not on TV. He then did an impression of Reeg out on the town.

hahah Don Rickles and Rodney dangerfield were both from the same mold. I mean both old. hahh I use to love to hear their stand up. I would wait until someone tried to heckle them and then they would tear them up.. You have to like the old school sarcasm to enjoy Don Rickles

I can recall watching him with Joey Bishop years ago. As for Rickles still being alive, whenever he does pass on I'm sure we(the public) will hear about it.

I don't think "humor" that makes fun of someone in a mean spirited manner is funny. No wonder kids get the idea to make fun of, tease and bully other kids. I never liked Rickles either. Never thought of Regis as a comedian, just a nice host.

He was never funny, and neither was Regis, to the contrary , they stood for ignorance ,anger , and everything wrong with lower class new yorkers.

He was actually amusing here, but if anyone is old enough to have seen his stand up he used to be nasty mean and rude..........SO, that brings up the question. How is Ricky Gervais any different from Don Rickles???? They both push/pushed the envelope. I think Ricky is hilarious cause he just calls it as he sees it. I thought Don Rickles was just mean and never liked him....he had his moments though...Food for thought.

You're so absolutely right!! He's ALWAYS been known for that brand of humour, and I've always loved Don Rickles -- his books are just as terrific and funny. Maybe Ricky Gervais and Don Rickles should co-host the Oscars....or not? They'd probably just spend a lot of time making fun of each other!
