'Jersey Shore' Season 4 a Go? Plus: Snooki, JWoww to Shoot Spinoff

Jersey ShoreAfter smashing ratings records can audiences expect more 'Jersey Shore'? Does The Situation like to refer to himself in the third person? (Yes, yes he does.)

According to HollywoodLife, MTV has been reaching out to cast members, asking them to free up May 2011 for filming. The current season has been shattering records at MTV. Its highest rated episode brought in 8.56 million viewers, pulling in a 4.4 million share in the 18-49 demographic.

HollywoodLife also reports the current contracts in place bind the cast for a season 4.

But, what of the spinoffs?

DJ Pauly D scored a spinoff reality show set to follow him beating the beats as a DJ. MTV reportedly filmed a pilot episode in September. According to TMZ, JWoww and Snooki are filming a spinoff this very weekend on Long Island.

While the two of proven popular, Snooki is a New York Times best-selling author after all, MTV is still forcing a pilot shoot.

I can’t wait for this new season to come out because I know its going to be pretty amazing. I’ve been keeping up with the headlines and it looks like there’s going to be a ton of drama surrounding everyone. I hope Sammi and Ronnie are no longer together and that’s not the focal point like it was last season because I was so tired of Ronnie and Sammi! To be honest, if they weren’t back on the show, I don’t think I’d mind at all! August 4th is vastly approaching and I know I’m going to be watching using my DISH Network HD Free for Life promotion. I can watch all of my favorite shows in the best quality and I will never pay another penny to do so. According to a report from TMZ, the cast will be heading overseas for season 4, which will reportedly be shot in Italy.

it's being reported that Season 4 is a go, already, "Shore-heads" know that MTV considers the current episodes to be Season 2.5. Enough with being know it alls. Sources are saying that MTV is already asking the cast members to clear their calendars for next season's shooting starting in May. As of the posting of this article, MTV hasn't responded to our request for confirmation.
