Matt LeBlanc Jokes About His Past on 'Friends,' and His Spin-Off 'Joey' (VIDEO)
Matt LeBlanc may be having a lot of fun playing an exaggerated version of the actor Matt LeBlanc on 'Episodes,' but that persona wouldn't exist if it weren't for the show that made him who he is, 'Friends.' On 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM on BBC America), LeBlanc talked about his experiences on the show. After all these years, he's still thanking the audiences that tuned in. "Thanks everyone for watching it," he said. "We're all really, really happy." By really, really happy he means they're all still swimming in piles of cash almost a decade later.
Graham Norton then shifted gears to a darker chapter in LeBlanc's life.
"When it's finally finishing," Norton said, referring to 'Friends,' "Was there a slightly awkward moment where they kind of went, 'And the winner of the spin-off is... ?'"
It might have seemed like a big win at the time, but it didn't really turn out that way as 'Joey' remains the butt of jokes to this day. When asked how the cast responded, LeBlanc said, "Everyone was real supportive. See ya later!"
They knew. Somehow they knew!
