Dana Carvey Talks How and Why Arnold Schwarzenegger Kept His Cool With Reporters (VIDEO)

With Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to the private sector, Dana Carvey talked about his early campaign experiences with the former Governor on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM on NBC). Particularly he recalled how brutal the press was to Schwarzenegger, and how cool the action star was in handling it.In relaying a story about one campaign event, Carvey was able to trot out his classic Schwarzenegger impression. Even better, he didn't even use any words as Schwarzenegger, reverting instead to those Austrian grunts and groans fans of 'Saturday Night Live' delighted over decades ago. And yet we knew exactly what he was trying to convey.
So how did the Governator keep his cool in the face of accusations of racism and even Nazism? "The madder they get, the cooler I get," he told Carvey after that campaign event. "Drives 'em f***ing crazy!"
In the world of stress that is politics, you take your pleasures where you can, and we can certainly understand it feeling pretty good getting under the skin of some of the more vile and vicious press personalities.
