When Jack Hanna brings his animals onto a talk show, hijinks almost always ensue. Why should 'The Talk' (syndicated on CBS) be any different?

On today's show, Hanna handed Sharon Osbourne an animal called a zorilla, which looks a bit like a skunk and, Hanna promised, would smell awful when it grew to be an adult. The creature immediately climbed into Osbourne's jacket, which made the crowd coo, until Osbourne gave a shout as if she'd been bitten. Hanna leapt up from his seat, at which point Osbourne said she was only joking.


The joke didn't impress co-host Leah Remini. Betty White, who was holding a spider monkey, enjoyed it even less. "Watch the sudden moves," she said, "please, for this guy." Note to Sharon: Don't annoy Betty.

White has long been associated with the Los Angeles Zoo, and Hanna said, "This woman knows more about animals then I'd ever hope to know."
