Jerry O'Connell Defends the Donut Burger on 'Rachael Ray' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Jan 26th 2011 12:15PM
On 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Jerry O'Connell defends the donut burger, a bacon double cheeseburger served on a glazed donut, in a faux courtroom with Rachael Ray presiding as judge. His defense? If you like to smile, and plan on eating sometime in the next week, the donut burger is for you.

"You want to keep this delight away from your taste buds?" O'Connell asked, holding a donut burger up for all to see. When several audience members answer in the affirmative, O'Connell responds, "Well, then, you're going to have taste enemies, people."

"If my client is being charged with being delicious, then, yes, he's guilty!" O'Connell continued. "But the last time I checked law books, mixing great taste and flavors was every American's right."

He's one to talk. He was the fatass from Stand By Me, so its natural for him to defend unhealthy food

Sounds like it might be worth trying. Certainly no worse the Arby's horseradish sauce on Nestle Crunch Bars.

At the corner of Jeronimo and Muirlands in Mission Viejo, Ca. there was a little shop that sold donuts and burgers. The neon sign in the window read "Donut Burgers" on a donut shaped background. For 25 years I have had awful visions of a "Donut Burger". My nightmares just came true.
