When the '90210' West Beverly High gang matriculates into college next season -- at California University, maybe? -- a couple of characters will be left behind.

According to TVLine, Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold will exit the show at the end of the season. Since the show's teenagers will be living the college life during season 4, it makes sense that Wilson mama Loughlin and West Bev teacher Eggold wouldn't stick around.

In the original '90210,' the Walsh parents faded to the background once the kids started college, so the move isn't unprecedented. Besides, the grown-up storylines on '90210' haven't been nearly as interesting as the kid-centric ones. As long as Loughlin is able to return for a cameo every now and then, her loss won't sting much.

Rob Estes, who played Loughlin's on-screen husband Harry, exited the show at the end of season 2.

The CW hasn't announced yet whether it's picking up the show for a fourth season, but '90210' has been performing solidly for the network. The third season pickup was announced last February, so don't be surprised if news of season 4 leaks soon.
