Was 'Bachelor' Brad in a Relationship When the Show Started Filming?

The Bachelor Brad WomackIn his second turn at being 'The Bachelor,' Brad Womack has claimed over and over that he's a new man, that he's gone through years of therapy and that he's really ready to settle down.

According to Life & Style magazine, he may have been on the verge of doing just that -- before he signed on again for 'The Bachelor' (Mondays at 8PM ET on ABC).

We got an exclusive preview of the magazine's upcoming issue, which features an interview with Bettina Bell, a contestant who made the final 3 on Womack's first 'Bachelor' season. Bell said that she gave him a second chance last year ... only to get dumped again when he started filming the current season.

"He was pursuing me like crazy, and then out of nowhere he went MIA," she told Life & Style.

The two reconnected after Womack's infamous rejection of both DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft. She said they began dating in October 2009 and that he dumped her last summer. However, Womack himself previously told Life & Style that he hadn't "been in a true relationship since the show ended."

The magazine cites a source that claims Womack dated, but didn't "find anyone who captured his heart. That's why he decided to do 'The Bachelor' again."

Bell said she was shocked, though. "He said it was a bad experience. He was really negative about it," she told Life & Style, while noting, "The show has 18 million viewers. It can open a lot of doors."

Me, I hope that he gets a taste of his own medicine. Either with that dentist, the nanny or that weirdo from Utah. Any one of these 3 are psycho looking enough to do just that. He seems to be sending the good ones away. I mean when he is sitting outside with one of the other girls, and all of a sudden either the dentist, the nanny or Utah sneaks up behinds them and he just says to the girl he was with: 'do you mind?' and then sits with whoever broke in on him!!! Give me a break. He hasn't changed at all.

A leopard doesn't change its spots. Hes a fake. He is committment phobic and will always be. He has convinced himself that he wants a family life like his brothers. Does he really??? Last time he was on the Bachelor..not only was he unable to love either of the finalists but it also leaked out that he had a girl back home.

I don't think he's changed a bit. He constantly gets cold feet. He's just doing it for the fame. I wouldn't trust him a bit.

Where else could someone that looks like him get a chance to go out with girls that look like some of the ones on the show? What a joke!!! I think he is super creepy and good for the girls to get their 15 minutes of TV time at his expense.

He needs to dump Michelle, she is a raging nutcase, if anyone has not figured that out yet, she to me is scary, I think she would stalk or will stalk him if he does not pick her. He also needs to get rid of the dentist Ashley, she is a foul mouthed idiot, he should have figured her out by now.

I like the show as entertainment and funny. I don't trust him or anyone else that is a contestant for the show, how in the world can you fall in love and get engaged that quickly? It does not make any sense to me, if he finds someone on the show, he will be rid of them by the time the next bachelor is on...
